Day 95: Who is Assisting Whom

It may look glamorous as can be from the outside looking in, but having an assistant isn’t always all that it is cracked up to be.

At least not if your assistant happens to be large and featherless.

This is because featherless assistants tend to need a lot of help themselves.

For example, let’s say your large featherless assistant decides to take a shower.

She may sidle up to you, cooing, “Mummy needs you! Come on, Mummy needs youuuuuu!!”

She sounds kind of desperate (as usual) so of course you head right over to lend a hand.

Then…..next thing you know……somehow YOU are getting a shower!!

Mom, how exactly did your shower turn into my shower?

Mom, I think the wrong one of us just got showered.

Which then turns into a photo shoot!

Well I know I look very cute right now (duh) but this wasn't on my calendar for today.

Well I know I look very cute right now (duh), but this wasn’t on my calendar for today.

Which leads you to one of life’s most universal truths: if you want anything done right, you have to do it yourself.

What happened to "parrot waffle breakfast?" Don't you need any 'help' with that today?

What happened to “parrot waffle breakfast?” I could help you with that instead.

In the meantime, you discover yet again that patience is more than a virtue….it is a necessity.

You think the ladybirds will especially like this photo shoot? Well, okay, just one more photo then....

For the ladybirds? Okay, then, just one more photo……for the ladybirds.
