Day 199: Frozen What?

When you have feathers, you don’t have to cohabitate with the large featherless beings for very long before you begin to notice they have certain odd dietary preferences.

For example, your large featherless assistant occasionally brings home round bowls full of very cold….something.

She seems to love it.

Of course.

The one saving grace is the bowl itself, which has great “mouth feel” whether served chilled or at room temperature.

Again, Mom? I thought I'd already made it clear how I feel about this particular dish.

It is hard to imagine any dish could get less appetizing than this one.

It is hard to imagine any dish could get less flavorful than this one. Hmmm…..

What if you added some birdseed to it, Mom? I bet it would taste much better!

Or waffles. Waffles are also large enough that you could just cover up the rest of the dish and pretend it's not there!

We could also try mixing in some hard boiled egg whites - at least that would give it some interesting texture.

All I can say is, thank goodness they thought to package it in these chewy round bowls.

They are delicious.

I’ll bet they’d sell a lot more if they just offered the bowls without putting that stuff inside them.

  1. Peculiar post. My cockatoo loves ice cream above all else. I rarely buy chocolate ice cream any more, because I have to hide to eat it since I can’t share chocolate with my bird. But salted caramel, vanilla, coffee (not as much – he wants it to be caramel), and cinnamon ice cream are his favorites. I cannot eat without sharing liberally! Maybe Pearl could be tempted with a flavor he likes! Because we know how much birds like to share!

  2. Charlie totally agrees with Pearl! Which is ok with his featherless assistant who doesn’t mind sharing except for ice cream and coffee. As it is, I share my coffee with the cat. But Charlie thinks the cat is stupid.

Pearl & his mommy <3 comments! :-)
