There are all kinds of predators in this world.
Some are minor players, bringing down green things, sunflower seeds and millet stalks.
Others are more advanced, bringing down wicker, mirrors and grilled cheese sandwiches.
But only the few, the mightiest, can bring down that most elusive of prey – the waffle.
Finally. It was a long, exhausting battle, but I prevailed and brought down this elusive waffle.
Unfortunately, I won’t have long to (er) savor my victory.
But first, in the way of my people, I must thank my prey for sacrificing itself for my dinner.
I’m pretty sure that in the “way of my people manual” it says it’s okay to thank and snack at the same time….
Oh boy. All the minor predators are gathering.
They couldn’t bring down an elusive prey like this if it jumped into the toasting device all by itself.
And yet after I do all the hard work they want to try to sneak in and have it.
Don’t think I don’t see you over there, Mom.
Nom nom nom nom nom….
She thinks she can pull the ol’ “I just want to take a picture of you with your prey” routine, but I know what she’s really after…!
