Friday Wet Bird Couture: “The Sparkling Violetear”

The sparkling violetear is a vision to behold.

It is also an extremely enthusiastic singer.

It is so enthusiastic, in fact, that the violetear has been known to repeat its signature song over and over (and over and over and over) again for (very) long periods of time.

It sings to defend its turf. It sings to lure ladybirds. It sings to warn other manbirds to stay away.

Plus it sings because it is very tuneful, of course.

It is not every super(bird)model that can capture both the sparkling presence and uncompromising tunefulness of this South American jewel.

Wet Bird Couture is proud to unveil Pearl Cutts modeling “The Sparkling Violetear.”

Here, notice how the model evokes the sparkling stage presence of its inspiration as each feather fairly hums with barely suppressed song.
